Sarasota Pride 2011: Still Out & Proud

It's a shame that Sarasota Pridefest only comes once a year because it is always such a fantastic event. Sarasota Pride Fest 2011 was held October 22, 2011 at JD Hamill Park, Gulfstream Avenue & Main Street.

SARASOTA - Thousands of rainbow-sporting partygoers packed J.D. Hamel Park on Saturday for Pride Fest, huddling on blankets and relishing the 72-degree weather. They brought their dachshunds and collies, modeled their brightly-hued buttons and enjoyed a variety of food, including fried plantains and pulled pork.
