Sarasota's Gay Beach

If you are looking for a gay beach excursion in Sarasota, Florida, then North Lido Beach is where you need to be. Once a t0pless beach before the Sarasota "fun police" banned it years ago, this rather private, half-mile stretch of beach offers a unique homo-haven on the sand.

Directions to North Lido Beach, Sarasota Florida

Conveniently located just past St. Armands Circle (an overpriced, tourist mecca with a ton of charm and some great restaurants). Parking is free. You can try the first small parking lot you see, but chances are slim to none of finding a spot there and it's not worth waiting. We recommend just parking on the street. Once you're on the beach, immediately turn north (that's "right" for those of you who are navigationally challenged). You'll see a walking path with beach grass to the left and a forested area on the right. Continue walking north for about five minutes. When you see same-sex couples, you'll know you've arrived.
